The global community is well on its way to reaching the agreed target of 15 million people on treatment by 2015. At the same time, many are challenging the traditional roles of central medical stores and ministries of health in procuring, storing and distributing public health commodities. This satellite session will explore the increasing role that local, regional and international companies are playing in the delivery of medicines, test kits, laboratory supplies and other health commodities and helping meet the global target of 15 million on treatment by 2015.
